“That the living may know that the Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will, and setteth over it the basest of men” Daniel 4:17
Of the times in which we live, we could take the words of the Lord Jesus concerning the end of the Tribulation period that “mens hearts are failing them for fear and for looking after those things that are coming upon the earth” (Luke 21:26). Are our hearts also filled with fear? Are we wondering how those in positions of authority ever got there? Do we fear their decisions? Do we wonder if God is still in control? Do we wonder if God really knows what He is doing? Let us rest in Him, pray for all those that are in authority, recognize that the world system is destined for destruction, and remember that Christ will reign!
