The Divine Counselor – Isaiah 9:6

“His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of peace.” These words will be fulfilled when He shall govern the whole earth in His glory. Yet even now the same Lord guides His people by His unerring counsel. Asaph wrote, “Thou shalt guide me by Thy counsel and afterward receive me to glory” (Psa 73:24). The Lord is still saying to His own, “I counsel thee to buy of Me gold tried in the fire that thou mayest be rich.”
