Assembly Hymn Writers: Praise to the Lord

The 19th century saw the raising up of a large number of believers who have given us hymns of matchless worth, expressing the glories of Christ and the truth of the Word of God. We would like to encourage believers to submit hymns that they have written. It is understood that if they are used by individuals or assemblies, no changes will be made to them.

Praise to the Lord

Praise to the Lord, our Redeemer,
our glorious Savior,
Gracious and merciful, He Who has granted us favor.
Lift up His name,
Spread to the whole earth His fame.
Praise Him for now and forever.

Praise to the Lord Who has sent His Own Son to redeem us.
Lift up the name of the Son Who has suffered and died thus.
Bearing our sin
That He might carry us in.
Praise Him Whose work is so wondrous.

Praise to the Son, Who is faithful and is coming again.
Though the time lengthens, His promise is true, yea and amen.
He will return
Show to the world which does spurn,
He is the rightful king to reign.
