And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel very creature… And they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the Word with signs following” Mark 16:15, 20
It is interesting to consider the commission again -“Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel.” It is instructive to see their consecration, for they went. He had said and did what He had commanded. It is illuminating to see their communion-the Lord was working with them! He is the One Who will never forsake us, Who will never leave us in the lurch, Who will always direct us. What companionship’ What communion! What counsel! This working with them is the unfinished work of the Lord Jesus. It is an inspiration to see the confirmation of the Word in the signs that followed during the infancy of the Church.
