That Thou should’s take delight in me,
Yet be the God Thou art,
Is darkness to my intellect
But sunshine to my heart.
“Because He delighted in me” (Psa 18:19)
That I should take delight in Thee
And love with all my heart
Is all Thy blessed Spirit’s work
And proves the God Thou art.
“Delight thyself in the Lord” (Psa 37:4).
