Gérard Roy writes: During our recent visit in February, we helped in gospel meetings with the assembly in the city of Mbuji-Mayi. In spite of the rain, which normally hinders people from attending, the little hall was filled each night and the Lord was pleased to bless in salvation. We were also invited to participate in their first conference and to have five nights of ministry. The assembly in Lubumbashi also held their conference, followed by a week of Bible readings in 1 Timothy. We helped with visitation and open-air meetings in the town of Kipushi, about 50 km away. It was most encouraging to see a young sister baptized and two others received into the fellowship of the assembly.

Homecalls
Ruth Garnham of London, ON, on October 22, 2025, shortly after celebrating her 99th birthday. She was saved in St. Catharines, ON, as a young girl while speaking with her mother at bedtime. She moved to London following her marriage to Hugh Garnham in 1953. Hugh and Ruth were known for their hospitality, keeping the Lord’s servants in their home, and attending every assembly meeting into their 90s. Her Christian testimony was summed up in the verses of Proverbs 31. She is missed by her six children, their spouses, 17 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
Francis Elizabeth (née Elkin) Patterson of London, ON, on November 10, 2025, age 94. Born in Omagh, N. Ireland, she moved to Canada in 1950 and was saved there. For almost 66 years, Francis was married to George Patterson (predeceased July 6, 2016), and they were in the assembly in London until 1974 when they moved to Clinton, ON. She returned to London and resided in a nursing home these last two years. Francis was a quiet, loving wife and true helpmeet to George, an active servant of the Lord. Always having a pleasant smile, she was hospitable and never complained nor spoke ill of others. Francis leaves behind two sons John (Rhonda) and James (late Mary), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Please pray without ceasing for their salvation. Her funeral service held at Falconer Funeral Home in Clinton was shared by Keith Bachert, Jim Bell and Mervyn Bell.
Cleora Betz of La Crosse, WI, on December 27, 2025, age 98. She attended meetings in the La Crosse Gospel Hall as she was growing up and also after she was married. Cleora was eventually saved in 1992 during a series of gospel meetings while reading the tract “Safety, Certainty and Enjoyment.” She had the assurance of salvation the next morning through Romans 10:9. Cleora was baptized and received into the fellowship at La Crosse, regularly attending assembly meetings until hindered by ill health. Despite the many years of being unable to attend in person, she loved the Scriptures and her heart was with the saints. Her desire to be with the Lord was granted. Cleora is survived by her daughters, Donna Gallup and Shalley Betz. Please pray for the salvation of unsaved loved ones.
