The sixth volume in the Ritchie Character se-
ries explores the lives of the final two key figures
in Genesis. A. J. Higgins systematically examines
how God shaped Jacob through trials and expe-
riences. He includes how this continued through
the painful period when he believed his favored
son was dead. Higgins, through exposition and
wise, practical lessons, unfolds how Jacob may
be our most relatable Genesis character.
In part two, Marcus Cain carefully examines
Joseph’s experiences, beginning with valuable
insights into how events before his birth shaped
his early home life. The book concludes with an
appendix detailing 27 ways Joseph foreshadows
the Lord Jesus Christ, making it a rich resource
for supplementary study.
This book is ideal for serious young Bible
students, Sunday School teachers, or any be-
liever seeking deeper insights into these men of
faith. Its chapter-by-chapter approach makes it
a valuable complement to other Genesis com-
mentaries.
The book is available for purchase at ritchiechristianmedia.co.uk and gospelfolio.com.
