Alberta
Calgary: The West Hillhurst assembly held a gospel tent series July 10-19 with John Fitzpatrick and Bert Snippe at Forest Heights Park. The saints were encouraged to see 15-20 visitors out every night, and one woman professed to be saved.
Edmonton: After two years of meeting in the community hall, the Connors Hill assembly finally obtained occupancy of their new hall and started meeting on June 28. They have since had visits and reports from Mark Bachert (Nicaragua) and Danny Jeon (Cyprus). The assembly recently commended Danny and Sarah Jeon to the work at the Logos School in Limassol, Cyprus. The annual Bible soccer camp outreach took place July 6-10 with a very good number of children present; they were very respectful and listened well to the gospel. The saints are looking forward to hosting their annual conference once again (October 16-18). A gospel series is also planned, starting November 1 with John Fitzpatrick and Alan Smith.
British Columbia
Burnaby: The South Burnaby assembly purposed gospel meetings to commence September 8 with John Fitzpatrick and Eric Fowler.
Langley: The assembly is planning gospel meetings September 13-27 with Joseph Baker and Peter Ramsay.
Richmond: The West Richmond assembly was encouraged when five believers obeyed the Lord in baptism on July 19. Children’s meetings are planned October 19-23, D.V., with Gordon McCracken.
New Brunswick
Moncton: The assembly purposed gospel meetings September 27-October 11 with Marvin Derksen and Peter Ramsay.
Sussex: Jonathan Procopio held children’s meetings July 6-10 in a tent at Sunnyside Park. The believers were encouraged with approximately 20 neighborhood children attending to hear the gospel. The assembly also began periodically holding their Sunday evening gospel meeting June 28-August 23 at the Sussex Rotary Amphitheatre in Burton Park (subject to availability), with local brethren speaking and periodically helped by others such as Jonathan Procopio (July 12) and Duncan Beckett (August 2). The meetings were also livestreamed via Zoom.
Newfoundland
Carbonear: On Lord’s Day, July 25, the assembly enjoyed a surprise and much appreciated visit from Wallace Buckle and his two grandsons, Daniel and Benjamin Barbour (St. John’s, NL). Wallace spoke mid-meeting on being steadfast to assembly gatherings. Daniel closed the meeting on the sinless character of the Lord Jesus Christ as seen in His non-confession of sin at His baptism.
Cornerbrook: The assembly held children’s meetings August 24-28 with Tim Burton. They are also planning gospel meetings October 19-November 8 with Tim Burton and Jack Zhang.
Parsons Pond: The assembly is anticipating children’s meetings August 30-September 3 with Tim Burton.
St. John’s: The assembly held drive-in gospel meetings August 9-14.
Nova Scotia
Clementsvale: The assembly pitched a tent and held two weeks of children’s meetings July 27-August 7 with Michael Lampkin (North Bay, ON) in the nearby community of Cornwallis Park. An encouraging turnout of children prompted them to extend the meetings for a second week.
Halifax: In July, the North Street assembly held a week of Treasure Seekers VBS: Search & Rescue in the hall. Over 40 youth attended daily, including several new ones. The families were appreciative of the lunches served daily. The children memorized Colossians 1:13-14 during the week. Several young people from this work planned to attend the Teen Bible Camp outreach in August for the first time.
Ontario
Burk Falls: Jim Jarvis and Liam Hannah (Toronto, ON) commenced tent meetings August 2.
Maberly: The assembly commenced tent meetings on July 22 with Murray Pratt, helped by local brethren during the first week and Phillip Morton (Ottawa, ON) for the second week.
Ottawa: The assembly is planning gospel meetings September 13-25 with Bill Seale and local brother Brandon Basque-Albert. Please pray for blessing in salvation.
Sarnia: The assembly was encouraged by the good attendance at their tent meetings July 12-August 2.
Prince Edward Island
Borden: Tim Burton and David Hierlihy held gospel meetings July 12-26. They were very encouraged with the meetings, especially the week of children’s meetings. A nice number of children came from the area, and new contacts were made.
Souris: Brody and Sharon Thibodeau, with the help of other believers mainly from the Charlottetown assembly, set up a gospel booth at the local farmers’ market on July 17 and 31. In addition to framed laminated Bible texts suitable for children and adults, bottles of honey labeled with gospel verses and a link to the Rosebank assembly website were distributed for free. They are so thankful for all the help and generosity from believers to make this outreach possible.

Maniwaki: Brandon Basque-Albert and Éric Lambert (both from Ottawa, ON) held gospel meetings August 17-21.

Arizona
Phoenix: The Orangewood assembly continues their series of short Saturday night devotionals via Zoom on “The Person and Work of Our Lord Jesus Christ.” Brethren taking part to date include Eugene Higgins (July 11), Brian Crawford (July 18), Tim Woodford (July 25) and Andrew Zuidema (Midland Park, NJ, August 1).
Illinois
Joliet: The Spring Creek assembly has changed their conference date from the last weekend in September to the first weekend in March. Their upcoming conference will now take place March 6-7, 2027, D.V.
Iowa
Dubuque: On July 25, believers from Marion, Manchester and Garnavillo assemblies sought to distribute gospel literature to a number of the 20,000 cyclists participating in the 53rd edition of the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI). In two hours, 3,000 RAGBRAI Iowa-shaped route magnets with QR code and gospel verse were given out! Over 1500 gospel tracts and pocket calendars and 1000 water bottles were distributed during the riders’ final trek into the city.
Dunkerton: Gospel meetings with Brandon Doll and Brody Thibodeau that began June 14 closed on July 10.
Michigan
Battle Creek: Venezuela Relief Fund (VRF)/Earthquake Relief: The generous financial response by the Lord’s people individually and from assemblies worldwide has been remarkable, showing the Lord’s care for His people in need. Aid forwarded to the VRF fund and other recipients is being directed to the areas of greatest need. We are working closely with trusted Venezuelan believers who are leading relief efforts in La Guaira. (See the report below from Samuel Ussher Jr. for details.) Over half of the believers in the assembly have moved away from the city due to the loss of their homes. A gospel hall in La Raya was badly damaged, and brethren are working hard to repair it.
Many who were left homeless are being sent inland to live in vacant buildings provided by the government. One group of more than 40 people was sent to Barinitas, about a 35-minute drive from Barrancas, where Sandra Turkington lives and operates the school and orphanage. Repair work on damaged homes is being carried out with help from brethren experienced in construction. A longer-term plan is being developed to design, build and furnish up to 25 basic homes for the Lord’s people whose houses cannot be repaired. Several teams of brethren will construct these homes to meet the families’ immediate need for safe lodging. The funds already received are currently covering the foreseeable future needs of this effort. We are confident that the future needs are known by the Lord and we look to Him for guidance and wisdom in carrying out the difficult task of administering these resources in the most productive way possible and to the glory of His Name.
Ohio
Cleveland: The Monticello assembly held their annual conference during the last weekend of July. David Petterson and Peter Ramsay gave helpful ministry on the subject of “The King Is Coming.” Many thanks to those who attended from a variety of assemblies and gave help in serving at the conference.
Pennsylvania
Philadelphia: The Olney assembly purposed to commence gospel meetings September 7-18 with John Nesbitt and local brethren.
Washington
Marysville: The assembly held children’s meetings each morning during the first week of tent meetings July 26-August 12, with large numbers of children in attendance. Some adults from the community have come to the gospel meetings, along with family members connected to both the Arlington and Marysville assemblies.
Moses Lake: Gospel meetings and VBS were held June 28-July 10. An average of 128 students came to the VBS each morning for the two weeks, with many of them returning with their parents in the evening for the gospel meetings. Jeremy Coleman (Hatboro, PA) and Tom Hoy preached the gospel each night and committed young believers came to help with the VBS effort. God faithfully blessed His Word!
Okanogan: Gospel tent meetings held June 7-19 with Tony Flett and Tom Hoy saw a good number of visitors, many who had never come before. A VBS took place each morning for one week, with many new attendees. The assembly appreciated the outside help from young believers.
Wisconsin
Black River Falls: The assembly held a Vacation Bible School June 21-25 with Paul Barnhardt. The meetings were very encouraging, with a good number of new children attending who promised continued attendance at the ongoing weekly Monday night work. Support from both La Crosse and Ontario assemblies was appreciated. (Note: This was incorrectly reported under Blue River in the August issue; my apologies!).
Blue River: The assembly held gospel meetings July 30-31, August 6-7, 13-14, in the Clyde Community Center near Avoca, WI, with local brethren Jim Frazier and Jon Novak.
Viroqua: The week of gospel meetings that closed July 31 was encouraging, with 20 different children and five adults from the community in attendance.
Waukesha: The assembly is planning to have a day’s meeting with John Meekin on Saturday, October 31. The topic will be announced at a later date.

Aruba
Neal Thomson (Abbotsford, BC) writes: During our visits to Aruba for two months (January-February) and then one week in May, the focus was on teaching the small group of seven or eight believers. We began with basic studies on fundamental topics (i.e., the Bible, God, the Lord Jesus) and then moved on to assembly teaching using the
“Seven Pillars” from Acts 2:41-42, expounding and preaching the gospel whenever possible for the benefit of both believers and some unbelievers attending. We involved some of the local believers in door-to-door work, children’s work, and a visit to the prison. It was encouraging to see one of the believers obey the Lord in baptism. While away from Aruba, we have continued with two online Bible studies per week with those who have access to the internet. Isaiah Frazier is planning a visit in a few months and we hope to return late this year or early next, D.V.

Venezuela
Samuel Ussher Jr. wrote on July 16: On the 24th of June, two earthquakes shook Venezuela, causing much death and destruction. Though many people were rescued, almost 5,000 lost their lives and thousands are still unaccounted for.
The area most affected is along the coast in La Guaira state. The gospel hall was damaged and needs to be repaired (or replaced), and six families lost their homes. One brother lost his wife and two of his three sons; the seven-year-old son was rescued. Many believers have gone to provide aid such as food, personal care items, clothing, tents, mattresses, first-aid supplies, etc. Also, many Christian doctors and nurses from the assemblies have gone to help with medical needs. A large tent has been set up by the brethren where help is given during the day along with Bible classes for children, and at night the gospel is being preached. Many have been receptive to hearing the gospel and express their thanks for the words of comfort and hope from the Word of God.
Another area affected was Morón, and although many houses were damaged, few people lost their lives. There are four assemblies there; one sister was killed when a wall in her house collapsed, and a number of believers lost their houses. Other homes suffered structural damage and must be demolished.
A few brethren who are civil engineers are assessing the structural damage suffered by the homes of believers. Those houses that can be saved will be repaired by brethren who are builders. They have also drawn plans for a simple house to replace those that are unsafe and need to be demolished. This work should commence this week, Lord willing.
We express our sincere thanks on behalf of the saints here for the prayerful interest of the Lord’s people. Messages received have been a great encouragement and the practical help has enabled the believers to help so many who are in need. Please continue to pray.
