Terryville: The believers in five of the surrounding assemblies have united in their desire to see monthly area Bible readings restored once again. They are studying the book of Philippians, which speaks of the believers’ joy and unity in Christ. The goal is to encourage and edify one another, and to pass on truth to the younger generation. The first Bible reading was held in Terryville on November 16, and their hearts were encouraged both by the attendance and the participation of many believers. May the Lord be magnified as we study His Word together.

Special Report

Panama

Byrnell Foreshew writes: The newer building in Calle 5 with its larger grounds has provided more opportunities for gospel outreach and teaching, such as the Friday evening Young People’s Bible class that has a good attendance of 30 youth. The Home Education group of over 80 families has given us much opportunity to share the gospel and teach New Testament assembly truth. On the last Sunday of each month, the hymn sing with a meal after the gospel meeting sees good attendance. Marcos and Sara Sequera, fellow missionaries (north of the country), are in a new work in Puerto Armuelles, with encouraging attendance during a recent gospel series. Prayer is valued for these efforts and the spiritual growth of the assemblies.

Northern Ireland

Co Down

Ballykeel (Mourne): The assembly held drive-in gospel meetings from May to September and were encouraged to see so many locals attend each Sunday. Help was experienced in the preaching and the Lord’s presence was felt. Large numbers listened online and God was pleased to bless in salvation. During the first week of July, Clifford Law had a week of meetings in Kilkeel High School. It was encouraging to see the children and parents coming to hear the gospel and young believers from other assemblies travelling each night to help with the work. On July 11, a gazebo was set up in Kilkeel for the distribution of 1400 John 3:16 shopping bags with gospel literature. Please continue to pray for God’s blessings on the seed that was sown.

Ballywillwill: The assembly held 15 consecutive nights of gospel meetings October 12-26 in the Crane Store at Walter Watson’s Yard. Thomas Wallace was the speaker again this year, and it was most encouraging to see so many people from the community attend, along with the support of local believers. Help was experienced each evening to present both a clear and challenging message from God’s Word, looking particularly at God’s unfolding plan for the world. Each night there was a sense of the Lord’s presence, and the Christians continue to pray that, like last year, there will be blessing.
