Another elderly woman who has attended for several years professed reassurance in her faith. The assembly was also encouraged in the baptism of a Roman Catholic young man soon after the tent meetings. Please continue to pray that those who have shown an interest would be saved.

Special Report

Brazil

Crawford Brown writes: It is not difficult to find open doors for the gospel in Bahia, northeastern Brazil. Currently, we have weekly meetings in five different locations in the region. In Rio dos Paus, many of our contacts are afraid to attend the public meetings because of the pressure from the religious community. However, over 30 families receive us regularly in their homes for the presentation of the gospel. In Teodoro Sampaio, another woman has professed to be saved and her two daughters who live in other towns are showing an interest. Recently, a man invited us to visit his mother in a rural village and 14 people turned up to hear the gospel for the first time. Please continue to pray.

Homecalls

June (Wilson) Tanis of Arlington, WA, on April 5, 2025, age 69, after a short bout with cancer. She was born to Alex and Beulah Wilson of Abbotsford, BC, on June 10, 1955. June was saved as a young girl at age eleven. She married Terry Tanis of Marysville, WA, in 1979, and both were faithful members of the Arlington assembly, followed by the Marysville assembly when it was planted in 1994. June was a faithful, loving, devoted servant of the church. For every baby that was born to the believers, she made a quilted blanket. In the weeks leading to her departure to be with Christ, she faced death with confidence in the Word of God and the work of Christ. The large funeral at the Marysville Gospel Hall was conducted by Steve Meyers, Wayne Steen and Tom Hoy. Please pray for family members who are not yet saved.

David Taylor of Taylorside, SK, on July 4, 2025, age 88. Born on January 24, 1937, he was saved at age nine and received into assembly fellowship at age 13. David was very faithful for 75 years and had a great testimony for his Savior. He was a diligent elder and Bible teacher, having put to memory much of the Scriptures. He married Marion Bertram in 1959, and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage. He attended the annual June conference at Taylorside five days before his sudden homecall. For many winters he helped Jim Ronald Sr. with gospel outreach, and Jim Webb in the Thompson, MB, area. They hung many gospel texts in Saskatchewan hotels. David was a wise, godly and gracious Christian who will be greatly missed by his family and fellow believers. The memorial service was taken by Herb Wright, with Morgan Taylor speaking comforting words at the graveside.
