The assembly also conducted three weeks of evening children’s meetings/VBS outreach at Brewers Park (July 7-12), Memorial South Park (July 21-26), and Ross Park (August 4-9). A picnic was held on each of the final nights, starting in the late afternoon. They were encouraged by the attendance of children with their parents that live near these parks close to the hall. Please pray that these children will attend Sunday school in the fall, and that their parents will attend the concurrent adult Bible class outreach.

New Brunswick

Michigan

Battle Creek: The Lord continues to provide for His people in Venezuela. VRF funds are being used mainly for emergency medical needs and to a lesser extent for food purchases. The latest efforts by other countries to pressure the current Venezuelan authorities to make meaningful changes in the ongoing restricted political situation have resulted in the devaluation of the currency again and inflationary pressures that immediately affect the quality of life in the country. Additionally, the US has recently increased the severity of their warnings against travel to Venezuela by US citizens due to the high risk of unlawful detention. We continue to seek the prayers of the Lord’s people that the liberty to preach the glorious gospel may continue as it has in the past.

Bridgeport (formerly Saginaw): Two weeks of tent meetings that began July 13 with Dan Shutt and Matt Smith (Jackson, MI) were very encouraging. The first week saw 16 different people attend as a result of texts and invitations left at their doors. The believers had never seen or met any of them before. The last night of the series saw 42 different visitors in attendance, not including Christians from other assemblies or their families that were present. Thank you to all who prayed for this effort. Please continue to pray that God will bless the testimony here in Bridgeport.

Duncan Beckett, Shad Kember and Timothy Stevenson were present, along with some believers from Veracruz and Iguala.

Guerrero

Iguala: The assembly was busy with a gospel series during the month of July. Local brethren commenced the series, and then were joined by Noé Cruz (West Phoenix, AZ) and Shad Kember.
