Safely Home: David O. Kember (2)

I first met David Oliver Kember in the middle forties. The very first impression I had was of a man who loved souls. His faithfulness in speaking to people about where they would spend eternity is unparalleled in my experience. He made me feel ashamed of my own efforts to reach the lost.

I spoke at the funeral service when Dave lost his wife Phyllis. Later I performed the ceremony when he married Thelma. Our first gospel meetings together were in the portable hall at Oil Springs.

We thank God for our dear, faithful brother and pray that we may follow his example in seeking for lost souls. In this, he was like His Savior. God used him.
