Poetry: A Thankful Servant

I’m not sure how to say this
It is a daunting task
But herein lies the question
I really have to ask:
That little bit of fellowship
I sent a while ago
Did you not receive it?
I’d really like to know.

You’re held in high esteem
By those both young and old,
Yet, what is it they’re learning
If thanks you do withhold?
I know you’re very busy
With meetings here and there.
I, too, am very busy
Yet I took the time to care.

Although rewards for giving
Aren’t given while we’re here
It would be nice to know we met
A need of someone dear.
Please take this little poem
In the spirit that it’s given
Don’t leave your Thank-you’s left unsaid
Until we get to Heaven!
